MixPill taps the apps you point it at — and leaves the ones you don't. DAW Direct is a switch on every row, not a list of apps we happen to recognise. Buffer size, monitoring latency and routing stay exactly where your session put them.
Logic Pro, Ableton, Pro Tools, Cubase, FL Studio and Studio One are covered by default. Turn the switch on for anything else, and MixPill never touches that app's audio either.

- macOS requires this for the Core Audio process taps MixPill is built on. You're asked once, the first time MixPill captures an app. Audio is processed on your Mac and never leaves it.
- Not the microphone
- Auto-Ducking knows a call has started by asking Core Audio which apps hold an audio input — not by opening one. MixPill never asks for microphone access.
- Accessibility
- Only if you turn on global hotkeys. Skip it and everything else still works.

- A true dBFS scale with a −12 dB reference tick, amber and red where those levels actually are, and a held clip indicator.
- Presets hold everything
- Volume, mute, EQ, gate, Night Mode, output and DAW Direct state — not just levels. Presets from older versions still load.

- ⌘Z steps back through volume, mute, EQ and routing. A slider drag collapses into one step, not a hundred.
